The Evaluation Research Core (ERC) studies the ITHS’s development and implementation of novel approaches to supporting translational research.  We assess the responsiveness of the ITHS to its constituents and study its impact on the local and global environment through a scholarly research lens.  The data we collect are used to describe and guide ITHS operations.

Within the ITHS, we help:

  • Collect data and provide reports to inform ongoing improvement of ITHS core operations and inform overall functioning of the ITHS.
  • Identify and describe barriers to and facilitators of the conduct of translational research.
  • Assess short and long term impact of ITHS implementations, such as the growth of collaboratory networks.
  • Assess and describe the impact of the ITHS on the conduct of translational research, locally and nationally, including longer-term impact on community health practices.

The Evaluation Research Core will make available evaluations and reports to ITHS investigators and stakeholders on a continuous basis.
