Community Communications Program

The Institute of Translational Health Sciences has established a unique Community Communications Program with a goal to create systems to recruit under-represented populations for training, mentoring and research participation Minority Mentor

The program director, Dr. Michelle Terry is a Pediatrician and a Clinician Educator at the UW SOM and CHRMC. She is an active staff physician who works in community clinics in Seattle and Kent, Washington. Dr. Terry has extensive mentoring experience with minority students and faculty members. Since 2002 she has been a Mentor in the College Faculty Program of the UW SOM where she chairs the African American Mentoring Network.
