What to Expect

Learn about your role in the study

Before the start of a research study, research volunteers typically sign a consent form. Before you are asked to participate in a study or sign a consent form, there will be a thorough discussion of the study so that you understand what the study will require of you. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and have your concerns addressed to your satisfaction. When you sign the study consent form, you are acknowledging that you have read and understand the information provided about the research study.
