Research Education, Training, and Career Development Core

The Research, Education, Training, and Career Development (RETCD, a.k.a. ED core) supports investigators and scholars through the development and maintenance of curriculum and career development education. The ED core:

• Provides opportunities for research education at differing levels of depth and time commitment, across the spectrum from pre-doctoral to career scientist
• Acts as a clearinghouse for clinical and translational research training opportunities within and outside ITHS
• Identifies unmet needs for education and training
• Provides new short-course and continuing education formats
• Provide mentorship training
• Promotes institutional rewards for mentorship and education
