Center for Biomedical Statistics

Welcome to the Center for Biomedical Statistics!

Statistical collaboration for the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) investigators and trainees is coordinated through the Center for Biomedical Statistics (CBS).Specific guidance regarding design and analysis options for proposed studies is provided, including assistance in the preparation of grant proposals. The CBS also provides expertise in conjunction with Biomedical Informatics to ensure timely and thorough data collection, and quality assurance review.

Key to the CBS function will be providing ongoing training in biostatistics to ITHS investigators and trainees by way of archived web materials, individual mentoring, seminars and workshops. The CBS will engage in methodological research on topics inspired by interactions with ITHS trainees and investigators.The CBS plays a pivotal, collaborative role in developing the ITHS by collaborating in biomedical research from the initial design stage to the final reporting phase.
