Activities
Evaluation Research Core
The Evaluation Research Core (ERC) is committed to providing evaluation products and services that inform ongoing collaboration of ITHS cores, and are also responsive to the evolving needs of ITHS cores and constituencies. The ERC will work with cores and other ITHS members and partners to design evaluation models and methods to effectively assess progress toward short and long term goals and desired measureable outcomes related to translational research. We will also conduct original research on the clinical and translational research enterprise. In collaboration with UW and national experts, we will apply innovative methodologies including social network analysis and mixed-methods designs, to track and describe the nuanced changes of relationship and activity among individuals partnered through the local ITHS collaboratory – including partners in the WWAMI states and the CTSAs across the nation.
ERC Activities:
- Oversee process evaluations to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity in each ITHS core
- Provide data and reports that inform ongoing improvement
- Implement outcomes evaluation related to research and training activities
- Identify barriers to and facilitators of the conduct of clinical/translational research
- Assess the growth of collaboration networks
- Assess and document the impact of the ITHS on the development of and conduct of translational collaborative research locally in the Puget Sound region, regionally, and nationally, and its longer-term impact on health practices and community health
