ITHS Technology Access Grant Enables Resonance Spectroscopy

Kristina Utzschneider, M.D.Kristina Utzschneider, a physician at VA Puget Sound, used an ITHS Technology Access grant to employ magnetic resonance spectroscopy to measure liver fat in older subjects before and after being on either high or low fat diets.

ITHS KL2 Scholar Publishes Burn Center article in JAMA

Dr. KleinITHS KL2 Scholar Matthew R. Klein, M.D., M.S. recently authored an article titled "Geographic Access to Burn Center Hospitals.  The article was published in the October 28, 2009 issue of JAMA.

ITHS Small Pilot grant enables feasibility study

Elahe Mostaghel, M.D., Ph.D used an ITHS Small Pilot grant to establish the feasibility of a metabolomic approach to profile tissue response to testosterone suppression and predict increased cardiovascular risk.

Ignition Award Helps Advance Therapeutic Research

Implantable Recurrent Brain-Computer Interfaces for Therapeutic ApplicationsEberhard Fetz, Ph.D., received an Ignition Award to further his research on implantable microchips for therapeutic applications.  The two-year, $100,000 award was cosponsored by ITHS and the WA National Primate Research Center.
