ITHS KL2 Scholar Publishes Burn Center article in JAMA
Matthew R. Klein, M.D., M.S. recently authored an article titled "Geographic Access to Burn Center Hospitals." The article was published in the October 28, 2009 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
Dr. Klein's research is supported by the ITHS KL2 Award.
Klein and his colleagues found that "nearly 80% of the US population lives within 2 hours by ground or rotary air transport of a verified burn center; however, there is both state and regional variation in geographic access to these centers." To read more, view the complete article.
