Julie T. Elworth, PhD is the Director of Evaluation for ITHS. In this role, Dr. Elworth designs and directs the use of rigorous evaluation methods to facilitate greater impact of ITHS programs. As part of the leadership team, she provides strategic direction and guidance to facilitate achievement of program goals. She also provides consultation on methodological and instrument design.
Dr. Elworth has over 20 years of research and evaluation experience. Her substantive background includes social psychology, health, education, organizational change and learning. She has worked in a variety of non-profit, academic, government, and business settings including, NAACP, Consumers Union Foundation, the Global Fund for Women, the National Research Council, Battelle, the VA, U.S. Department of Energy, Bonneville Power Administration, Yale University, Stanford University, Washington State University, University of Texas at Dallas, Simmons College (Boston), and the National Opinion Research Center. She is a member of the American Evaluation Association and the American Sociological Association.
Dr. Elworth earned her BA and MA in Sociology from Washington State University and her PhD in Sociology from Stanford University.
