Student teams have been collaborating with clinical mentors to define and solve unmet challenges in healthcare. Students will demonstrate their functional prototypes in interactive booths. Lightning pitches start at 5:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.

Engineering Innovation in Health Teams:

  • IV arm trainer, UW Center for Research in Education and Simulation Technologies
  • Fistula isolation to improve wound healing, Harborview Medical Nursing
  • Improved design for continuous bladder irrigation, UW Urology
  • Protective mouthguards for orthodontic patients, UW Orthodontics
  • Cardiac arrest monitor, Providence Hospital Emergency Medicine
  • Venous ulcer vacuum seal, UW Nursing
