17 Dec ITHS/Primate Center Ignition Award Applications Due
ITHS and the Washington National Primate Research Center (WaNPRC) are pleased to sponsor the Ignition Award, which focuses on the use of non-human primate models of human disease.
The purpose of this Ignition Award is to explore innovative areas of nonhuman primate research and generate preliminary data to serve as a basis for submission of new research grant applications (e.g., R01-type grant to NIH or other funding agency) and/or subsequent clinical studies.
There will be up to three separate awards of up to $75,000: one with the primary focus on translational applications, and up to two pilot awards focusing on the development or enhancement of the use of non-human primates as animal models.
Award Details
Number of Awards: Up to three.
Award Amounts: Up to $75,000 per award.
Eligibility: All faculty members (or those with equivalent titles) are eligible to apply, except those who have received an Ignition Award within the previous three years.
