ITHS Regional Advisory Workgroup Thanks Outgoing Members

PamelaMitchellandTrialTeam_web2_0A key component of the Institute of Translational Health Sciences’ Community-Engaged Research and Regional Collaborations program is its Regional Advisory Workgroup. The Workgroup supports ITHS’ regional collaboration efforts, helping ITHS to focus its attention on issues of importance to translational science in the five-state WWAMI region.

The commitments of several members of the Workgroup are ending, and ITHS would like to thank each of them for their contributions to furthering translational research in the WWAMI. The outgoing members are:

  • Carolyn Bohach, PhD; Principal Investigator, Idaho INBRE; Professor, Department of Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, University of Idaho
  • Jay Butler, MD, FAAP, FACP; Senior Director, Division of Community Health Services, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium
  • Valerie Copie, PhD; Professor, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Montana State University
  • Julia Oxford, PhD; Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, Boise State University
  • Ken Roberts, PhD; Director, WWAMI Medical Education, Washington State University

The Regional Advisory Workgroup helps to ensure the ITHS has meaningful representation of key stakeholders in major projects and that ITHS activities are regionally relevant. The Workgroup also provides ITHS with critical regional expertise and strengthens information and resource dissemination channels to and from regional stakeholders.
