Laura-Mae Baldwin, MD, MPH, is a Professor in the UW Department of Family Medicine, an investigator at the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center, and a practicing family physician. Dr. Baldwin is a seasoned health services researcher in the areas of access to and quality of health care in diverse clinical settings, as well dissemination of effective health interventions into primary care practice.<\/p>\n

She is the Faculty Director of Regional Research Collaborations within the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS), the UW\u2019s Clinical Translational Science Award. In this role, Dr. Baldwin has established active research partnerships and conducted research with clinicians and clinical practices and organizations across 5 states, including the 50-practice Washington Wyoming Alaska Montana Idaho (WWAMI) region Practice and Research Network (WPRN)<\/a> and the 14-member Northwest Participant and Clinical Interactions Network<\/a> (formerly the RC2 Network) in community health care systems.<\/p>\n

Dr. Baldwin also is a member of the core team developing a data-sharing infrastructure in a subset of WPRN practices (Data QUEST) that extracts compatible electronic health record (EHR) data from geographically dispersed practices across the WWAMI region to facilitate multi-site research.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
