The new requirements support compliance with Washington State\u2019s DCT law (<span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"https:\/\/app.leg.wa.gov\/RCW\/default.aspx?cite=69.78\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RCW 69.78<\/a><\/span>) and aim to improve the completeness and quality of enrollment data for clinical trial participants. To meet DCT reporting requirements, researchers will be responsible for entering clinical trial enrollment data into <span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"http:\/\/seattlectms.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OnCore Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS)<\/a><\/span>, a web-based resource utilized by UW and Fred Hutch Cancer Center to manage clinical trials with reporting and billing compliance requirements. OnCore is managed by the <span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"mailto:ctms@fredhutch.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CTMS Program Office<\/a><\/span>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0a799a\">Studies In Scope for DCT Reporting<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research that meets the definition of a <span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/glossary\/clinical-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clinical trial<\/a><\/span>, <em>AND<\/em><\/li>\n<li>UW employees or agents are responsible for or engaged in recruitment or consent activities, <em>AND<\/em><\/li>\n<li>New study submitted for UW HSD review on or after January 1, 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;12px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong><span style=\"color: #aa4aca\">NOTE:<\/span><\/strong> There are some exceptions to UW DCT policy requirements. For questions, please reach out to <span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"mailto:hsdinfo@uw.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hsdinfo@uw.edu<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0a799a\">OnCore Protocol Record and Minimum Footprint Requirements<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Study teams will need to establish a protocol record in <span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"http:\/\/seattlectms.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OnCore CTMS<\/a> <\/span>and maintain a Minimum Footprint of study information and participant enrollment data for studies in-scope for DCT Reporting. A <strong>DCT Minimum Footprint<\/strong> of data entry has been established per policy requirements, administrative needs and CTMS system functionality. The <strong>DCT Minimum Footprint<\/strong> will apply to protocols in-scope for DCT Reporting, but out of scope other established OnCore Minimum Footprints.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong><span style=\"color: #aa4aca\">NOTE:<\/span><\/strong> UW clinical trials in scope for the DCT Policy that are Oncology-related, have UW Medicine billable activities and\/or require Epic activation for orders or subject tracking purposes will continue to follow <span style=\"color: #aa4ac4\"><a style=\"color: #aa4ac4\" href=\"https:\/\/app.seattlectms.org\/CTMSWebApp\/static\/ctmsdocuments\/minimum_footprint_documents\/minimum_footprint_reference_document.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full Minimum Footprint requirements<\/a><\/span>.
