The University of Washington is seeking volunteers for a Phase 2 additional COVID-19 vaccine booster trial. The purpose of this clinical trial is to test the safety and effectiveness of additional COVID-19 booster doses in people who have already received a primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster dose.

The study will enroll participants to receive either one or two additional COVID-19 booster doses. Participants will have completed a primary COVID-19 vaccination series (2 doses of Pfizer, 2 doses of Moderna, or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson) and received a booster at least 16 weeks prior to joining the study.

The trial will last about 12-14 months and will involve at least 7-11 in-person visits depending on the number of additional booster doses received.

Participants will undergo a screening assessment to see whether they are eligible. Study visits will involve physical exams, blood draws, nasal swab collection and vaccine injections. Participants will be asked to keep a diary of their vaccine reactions for 7-days after each injection.

Participant Eligibility

To be eligible for the trial you must:
▪ Be 18 years of age or older
▪ Have received a complete primary and booster COVID-19 vaccine series no less than 16 weeks ago
▪ Be willing to receive additional COVID-19 booster doses

Conditions which would prevent you from participating:
▪ Previous SARS-CoV-2 infection less than 16 weeks ago
▪ Current pregnancy or breastfeeding
▪ Serious reactions to vaccines
