Dementia Caregiver Opinions of a Program for People with Dementia

Dementia Caregiver Opinions of a Program for People with Dementia

The Dementia Support Center at the University of Wyoming is conducting a research study regarding a group-based program we are considering developing for people with dementia and their informal caregivers. We are seeking the opinions of current or past informal caregivers of people with dementia to better understand the feasibility of this group and factors we should consider in development.

This study consists of a brief questionnaire, a description of the intervention and participants, as well as a brief interview about your perspectives on the intervention. Participation in the study is completely voluntary; the interview takes 15-20 minutes, on average. All participation in this study will be confidential and will take place via telephone or Zoom. Eligible participants will be entered to win one of five Amazon gift cards.

Participant Eligibility

1. Currently or have previously provided informal care for someone with dementia (e.g., provided assistance/care for no pay for a spouse, family member, or friend with dementia).
2. Telephone and/or internet access to complete study requirements.
3. Able to read and understand English.
4. No diagnosis of dementia in caregiver.
