Exploring the Use of Technology for Suicide Prevention

Researchers at the University of Washington are interested in internet and social media users’ opinions of technology and how technology could be used to develop interventions for people who are using the internet or social media during times of distress. For anyone who is interested in sharing their opinion, we have designed a one-time anonymous REDCap survey https://redcap.iths.org/surveys/?s=DYN3TP84WL that includes questions about internet and social media use, how technology companies use data, technology companies’ role in suicide prevention, online interventions, and how data could be use by researchers to better understand how to intervene when a suicidal person is using the internet
