{"id":4267,"date":"2020-06-25T12:45:56","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T19:45:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iths.org\/participate\/?p=4267"},"modified":"2020-08-20T11:33:11","modified_gmt":"2020-08-20T18:33:11","slug":"cough-collection-for-smartphone-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iths.org\/participate\/cough-collection-for-smartphone-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Cough Collection for Smartphone App"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"box summary\"><\/div>\n<p>Thank you for your interest in the UW Smartphone Cough Study!<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this study is to collect cough data for our cough detection smartphone app. This app has the potential to make a big impact in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak so we really appreciate your interest.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to participate in the study:<\/p>\n<p>1) We will send you a smartphone with the cough detection app already installed. If you already have an Android phone that meets our minimum specifications, you will be able to use your normal smartphone.<\/p>\n<p>2) We will ask you to carry the smartphone with you at all times over the course of a 24-hour period. The app will record all of your audio during the study. Why do we need all of your audio?
