{"id":5431,"date":"2023-06-08T13:07:46","date_gmt":"2023-06-08T20:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iths.org\/participate\/?p=5431"},"modified":"2023-09-05T11:35:29","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T18:35:29","slug":"substance-use-and-elevated-blood-pressure-in-the-lungs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iths.org\/participate\/substance-use-and-elevated-blood-pressure-in-the-lungs\/","title":{"rendered":"Substance Use and Elevated Blood Pressure in the Lungs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"box summary\"><\/div>\n<p>The purpose of this study is to determine if the use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, pain medications, and other substances is associated with elevated blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)).<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for healthy controls to compare their information to people with elevated blood pressure in the lungs.<\/p>\n<p>The Study consists of a one time visit, lasting approximately 1 hour. During that visit, researchers will collect urine and less than 4 tablespoons of blood for research purposes.
