The study aims to pilot test a peer delivered intervention facilitated by a peer specialist to support making decisions about community participation among young adults who have serious mental illness (SMI). \u200bCommunity participation includes things like working, going to school or socializing with friends. Participants will talk with a peer decision coach about a decision they are facing and what can be done to help with decision-making. All meetings will be held virtually on zoom. \u200bParticipants will complete two virtual research interviews sessions taking place before and after participating in study intervention. \u200bWe anticipate this project taking up to 1-3 months. \u200bParticipants will be paid $25 for the baseline interview and $30 for the post interview.<\/p>\n

Participant Eligibility<\/h3>\n

Must be between the ages of 18-30 years old. \u200b<\/p>\n

Experiencing a serious mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder).\u200b<\/p>\n

Want to participate more in their community.<\/p>\n
