The Neighborhood & Alcohol Research Study (NARS) team at the University of Washington is looking for participants for a virtual, paid research study.<\/p>\n

PURPOSE: This study aims to explore Black adults\u2019 experience with alcohol and perceptions of their neighborhood and community. Through a one-time, online survey, we aim to identify sources of hardships and strengths within neighborhoods that contribute to or protect against health inequities and investigate what Black adults want in community interventions aimed at reducing health consequences.<\/p>\n

TIME INVOLVEMENT: Participants will be asked to complete a 5\u20137-minute screener survey. If eligible, participants will be invited to participate in a 40-45 minute, online survey to discuss their experiences.<\/p>\n

PAYMENT: For completing the study, all participants will receive a $30 electronic gift card.<\/p>\n

Prior to the survey, participants will be asked to confirm their identity with an ID via Zoom.<\/p>\n

Eligible participants include individuals that:<\/p>\n

1. Identify as Black or African American
\n2. Live in King County, WA or Chicago, IL
\n3. Are 18+ years or older
\n4. Have consumed alcohol in the past month<\/p>\n
