Sentences will include speech enhancement overlays at varying intensities and delays. Participants will repeat sentences aloud and rate sound quality after each block. Stimuli are presented using a randomized and counterbalanced design implemented in Python. Responses will be analyzed using linear mixed-effects models.

Participant Eligibility

All participants must be 18-35 years old with no known hearing problems.

Contact

Riya Yerramilli
(425) 922-8882 x_____

Additional Study Details

Full Study Title
Perceptual Effects of Delayed Speech Enhancement: Influence of Delay, Gain, and Listening Environment

Study ID: STUDY00023511

ClinicalTrials.gov Link:

Start Date: 08/01/2025

End Date: 05/01/2026

Investigator(s)
Gavriel Kohlberg, PhD
Josh Bogren

Accepts Healthy Volunteers?
Yes

Study Site(s)

Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center/CHDD Clinic Building

Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center, CHDD Clinic Bldg, NE Columbia Rd
Seattle, Washington 98195

Participants will listen to a series of sentences and record what they hear.
