A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of DNTH103 in Adults with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CAPTIVATE)<\/p>\n

What is this trial about?
\nThe CAPTIVATE study is testing a new investigational medicine called DNTH103 to see if it can help people with CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy).<\/p>\n

What is CIDP?
\nCIDP is a rare condition where your body’s defense system (immune system) mistakenly attacks the protective covering around your nerves. This can cause:
\n\u2022 Weakness in your arms and legs
\n\u2022 Numbness and tingling feelings
\n\u2022 Problems with balance and walking<\/p>\n

About the new medicine being tested
\nThe new investigational medicine (DNTH103) is designed to block a specific protein (activated C1s) in your body that may be causing nerve damage. By blocking only activated C1s proteins, DNTH103 aims to keep your CIDP under better control while still allowing other parts of your immune system to fight infections.<\/p>\n

How you’ll receive the medicine:
\n\u2022 First time: Through a needle in your vein (like an IV)
\n\u2022 After that: As an injection under your skin every 2 weeks<\/p>\n

Important features of this trial
\n\u2022 Everyone starts with the actual medicine (not a placebo\/sugar pill)
\n\u2022 Safety first approach: If the medicine doesn’t help you in the first part of the trial, you won’t have to try the placebo and can return to your regular CIDP treatment.
\n\u2022 Works with your current treatments:
\no If you’re currently getting immunoglobulin treatments (also called IVIg or SCIg), you can stay on them until 1 week before starting the trial medicine
\no If you’re taking a low dose of steroids that’s working for you, you can continue taking them throughout the trial<\/p>\n

How the trial works – Step by Step
\n1. Check if you qualify: The study doctor will do some tests
\n2. First treatment period (up to 13 weeks): Everyone gets the new medicine
\n3. Second treatment period (up to 53 weeks): If your symptoms improve in the first period, you’ll receive either the new medicine or a placebo (a look-alike with no active medicine)
\n4. Optional extension (up to 104 weeks): Everyone receives the new medicine
\n5. Follow-up period (up to 40 weeks): Regular check-ups after treatment ends<\/p>\n

What happens during study visits?
\n\u2022 Most visits take about 3 hours
\n\u2022 You’ll have:
\no Blood tests
\no Physical check-ups
\no Tests to measure your nerve function and strength
\no Questions about how you’re feeling<\/p>\n

Where allowed by local regulations:
\nTransportation help may be available
\n\u2022 Some visits might be done at your home<\/p>\n

Is there any cost to join?
\nAll study-related medical care is provided at no cost to you, including:
\n\u2022 Study-related exams
\n\u2022 Study medication
\n\u2022 Study-related procedures
\nNo insurance is required to participate.<\/p>\n

Where regulations permit:
\n\u2022 Transportation support and reimbursement may be available for patients and caregivers
\n\u2022 Some visits may be conducted at home<\/p>\n

Participant Eligibility<\/h3>\n

Can I join this trial?<\/p>\n

You might be able to join if you:
\n\u2022 Are between 18 and 75 years old
\n\u2022 Have been diagnosed with CIDP
\n\u2022 Have one of these treatment situations:
\no You’re currently using CIDP treatments like immunoglobulins (Igs) or steroids and they’re helping
\no You responded to standard CIDP treatments before but aren’t getting them now
\no You tried standard treatments for at least 12 weeks but didn’t get better
\no You couldn’t tolerate standard treatments because of side effects
\no You’ve never received treatment for your CIDP<\/p>\n
