End-to-End Testing Begins

End-to-End Testing Begins

In preparation for the upcoming Target 1 Group 1 (T1G1) go-live on July 16, 2018, the CTMS project team began end-to-end testing on April 16 for Target 1.

This phase of testing simulates study startup, enrollment, amendments and closure. The system workflow between OnCore and Epic are exercised and operational reviews and handoffs are confirmed. The test cases utilized are modeled after a cross-section of real UW, Fred Hutch, and SCCA studies to ensure that the various types of clinical trials are properly validated by actual study team super users & departmental leads. Testing is on track to finish on May 4.

“OnCore is a centralized and intuitive tool that will help study teams streamline their research efforts. The CTMS testing team was knowledgeable and provided a guided training experience with real-time data which makes me confident that, as a Super User, I will be able to pass along best practices to my team.”
-Niall Curley, Clinical Research Coordinator, UW Hematology

“The CTMS testing team is utilizing application lifecycle management to its fullest extent. They are quick to adapt and embrace change with enthusiasm rather than resistance and they are creating documentation and repeatable processes that will help to drive cost out of CTMS projects while enhancing their own knowledge.”
– Laura Poor, Supervisor – Quality Assurance, UW Medicine IT Services
