Community Voices Program

The Community Voices Program

Community Voices is a program within the Community-Academic Connections Program in which community members can submit their project ideas and be matched with an academic researcher with the same interests to move the project forward. There are no fees to participate in Community Voices.

Community-Academic Connections Program

The Connections Program provides a platform through which communities and academic researchers are brought together to work on projects of mutual interest. Our communities include community-based organizations, clinical organizations, and patients throughout the five state Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho region. This program is administered by the ITHS Connections Program Coordinating Center.

The Connections Program:

  • Offers opportunities for community members to submit their project ideas through the Community Voices Program
  • Matches community and academic researchers for specific projects;
  • Trains the matched teams to collaborate successfully together;
  • Provides ongoing consultation and technical support to teams on community-engagement research
