The ITHS Pilots Program offers funding to help investigators get started with exciting new translational research projects. Applications are now open for all funding opportunities!
The Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) Pilots Program is designed to support innovative, high-impact translational research projects that have the potential to advance medical knowledge and improve human health. By offering seed funding, the program encourages investigators to explore new ideas, establish proof of concept, and generate preliminary data for larger, future grant applications. The Pilots Program is particularly focused on fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice, with an emphasis on addressing health disparities and enhancing public health outcomes.
Per the RFA: Faculty members and staff at ITHS Partner Institutions, including collaborating institutions affiliated with ITHS in the WWAMI region (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho), the University of Washington, Fred Hutch, and Seattle Children’s are eligible to apply for this pilot award.
Tap into the power of the people with the Community-Academic Partnership Awards! Get up to $50,000 to support research conceived and conducted through a partnership between a community organization and academic researchers. This award gives community organizations opportunities to initiate and help organize and lead health research projects addressing important needs that they identify in the communities that they serve. Great minds don’t always think alike! Interdisciplinary Solution Development awards support research teams that find new ways to adapt processes and methods outside the health sciences to accelerate clinical and translational science improvements. This award of up to $25,000 will go to partnerships between innovators with complementary expertise. Apply now!
Our New Translational Science Tools and Methodologies Awards support researchers who advance the development of new tools and technologies that can be generalized across the translational science spectrum.
