Dr. Kathy Tuttle to Receive American Heart Association’s 2026 Clinical Research Prize
Dr. Katherine Tuttle, ITHS Co-Principal Investigator Emeritus, professor of medicine at the UW School of Medicine, and executive director for research at Providence, will receive the American Heart Association’s Clinical Research Prize at its Scientific Sessions meeting in November. WPRN Team Publishing Paper on Work in the WWAMI Region
The WPRN team has a new paper in press at the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine: “Engaging Primary Care Clinicians in Research Topic Prioritization and Study Design: Experience from the WWAMI Region Practice and Research Network.” The paper, lead authored by WPRN Associate Director Sebastian Tong (pictured), discusses the team’s work developing a panel of primary care physicians to help prioritize, design and conduct research. The 18 studies involving the panel from 2020-2025 lead to 4 papers and $11 million in grant funding. Read the WPRN abstract
