Expo 2026: ITHS Symposium & Poster Session

Expo 26 is right around the corner and ITHS has another impressive lineup of speakers and presenters for attendees this year. This year we’re proud to announce that the University of Washington President, Dr. Robert J. Jones, will be offering a keynote address, followed by remarks from Tueng Shen, MD, PhD, Associate Dean for Medical Technology Innovation, and inaugural director of the future Kren Engineering-based Medicine Institute (KEMi) between UW Medicine and College of Engineering.

Our theme is Engineering and Medicine, and both will be speaking about their experiences as pioneers in the field. Dr. Jones will discuss his efforts to stand up the first accredited medical school to marry both disciplines, and Dr. Shen will share her vision for KEMi. We’ll also have an opportunity to hear lightning talks from some of the most promising early-career entrepreneurs within the ITHS Technology Development Center.

This event will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture. Registration is open now!
