Registration Now Open: 2019 Introduction to Clinical Research Boot Camp

ITHS invites faculty, staff and post-doctoral fellows to attend the two-day Introduction to Clinical Research Boot Camp in July. This is an intensive workshop designed to provide foundational knowledge in designing and managing clinical trials for research team members new to the translational process.

Attendees will choose between a faculty or a staff track to learn the information that is most relevant to their role on the research team. All participants will attend the joint keynote and closing sessions. Sessions will be highly-interactive, with opportunities to practice skills and receive feedback. Each course features experts from the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s, Fred Hutch and other regional partners, offering a wide range of knowledge and experience.

“This boot camp fills a much needed gap across our institutions,” says ITHS Co-Principal Investigator Paul Martin, MD. “New clinical researchers typically learn how to organize and conduct clinical trials informally from their peers,” continued Dr. Martin, “the Boot Camp provides a more structured, comprehensive overview to prepare new investigators and staff members for this type of work.”

The two-day boot camp is a great opportunity for anyone interested in gaining a strong foundation for their career as a clinical investigator or research staff member. Get a closer look at the agendas.
