Biomedical Informatics
ITHS Biomedical Informatics is a resource for service, education, and innovation in the management of clinical and translational biomedical data.
The Biomedical Informatics team assists investigators with extracting useful data from electronic medical record data sources. We also host and support several free self-service tools for research data capture and exploration of de-identified cohorts.
We offer the following services to facilitate your research:
Patient Cohort Identification
ITHS Biomedical Informatics extracts useful data from electronic medical records to assist with patient cohort identification, trial recruitment, feasibility determination, study design, and more.
Clinical Data Extraction
ITHS aids in the extraction and processing of medical data accessed from more than 50 clinical data sources at UW Medicine as well as a network of primary care community clinics.
Computing Support
ITHS consultants assist investigators with information technology and computing support for their research.
Biospecimen Acquisition and Management
We help investigators access biospecimens and manage biospecimen data.
Study Data Management
We offer a variety of services related to study data management and electronic data capture, including large dataset management, custom reporting, and data capture tools.
