ITHS maintains close a partnership with the Translational Research Unit, now an independent entity that offers access to a number of research units to support the work of investigators. The Translational Research Unit (TRU) at the UW Medical Center has dedicated inpatient and outpatient facilities, specially trained nurses and support staff, laboratory services, and state-of-the-art equipment. The Pediatric Clinical Research Center (PCRC) at Seattle Children’s provides an environment and resources for the multidisciplinary conduct of clinical research in children.
