Group Proposal –  CTSA Program

The CTSA Program Working Groups (WGs) consider and develop solutions around a specific clinical and translational science issue. Working Groups that are APPROVED by CTSA Program Steering Committee will be supported. Groups/Individuals interested in forming a WG are REQUIRED to propose and deliver well-defined projects or deliverables that fill identified translational gaps and/or further the CTSA Program objectives in high-priority areas in clinical and translational science. More information on the role and structure of WGs can be found in the CTSA Program Groups Guidance document and in the CTSA Program Groups Guidance FAQs.

The CTSA Program Steering Committee has decided to move forward and resume collecting proposals for Working Groups during the September submission period. All submissions should go through the CLIC Website: https://clic-ctsa.org/groups/working-groups-proposal-information and should be submitted between September 1st and September 30th at 11:59 pm ET. The CTSA Program Steering Committee would like to encourage the consortium to create Working Group proposals that could align within the following key areas:

  • Learning health and research systems
  • Best practices for navigating the Science of Translation
  • Causes of rising midlife mortality in America (Case & Deaton, PNAS, 2015)
  • Climate change and health
  • National training curricula in CTS
  • Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
  • Enhancing the impact of clinical trials

Any Working Group proposal approved by the CTSA Program Steering Committee in this next round, will start receiving support in January. Submitters should hear by the end of the 2nd week in December if their proposal was approved. If you have any questions, please submit them to the CTSA Program Steering Committee at steering_committee@clic-ctsa.org.
