Education & Training

The ITHS Education Program supports investigators, graduate students, scholars, and research support staff through the development and maintenance of curriculum and career development education. ITHS strives to prepare the next generation of translational science teams by incorporating core competencies into all our education programs.

Graduate Programs

We offer training opportunities for graduate students from across the University of Washington and beyond, including our TL1 Translational Research Training Program and the new Clinical Translational Research Pathway.

Post-Doctoral Programs

ITHS offers training opportunities, such as our KL2 Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Career Development Program, for post-doctoral candidates from across the five-state WWAMI region.

Professional Development

ITHS offers a variety of seminars and workshops which cover a multiple topics and are intended to reach different members of the research team. In addition to a number of Team Science training opportunities, our CDS seminars for early career investigators and our CRES events for research support staff are just two of our popular programs.

TREE Learning Management System

The ITHS-developed Translational Research Education Engine (TREE) learning management system offers educational opportunities and content hosting services for the WWAMI region, CTSA Program, and the greater clinical and translational science community.
