Marilynn Rothen, RDH, MS
Marilyn Rothen is the Research Implementation Manager of the ITHS Regional Clinical Dental Research Center (RCDRC) located in the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She has over twenty years of experience with investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials, and collaborating with disciplines and institutions beyond the School of Dentistry to implement clinical trials in diverse settings aimed at addressing oral health disparities of special populations. As a project manager for clinical trials, her extensive experience includes contributing to design and implementation, regulatory management, and manuscript writing. Working closely with the RCDRC Dental Director, Dr. Douglas Ramsay, she has a track record of connecting industry and other disciplines with appropriate dental faculty to establish research collaborations.
Ms. Rothen is a dental hygienist with an M.S. in Oral Biology and a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Dentistry Department of Oral Health Sciences. In addition to managing the RCDRC, her clinical expertise includes providing care for patients with extreme dental fear and serving as a calibrated examiner on numerous clinical trials of oral diseases.
