ITHS Research Connector, Summer 2014

August 21, 2014

Nora Disis, MD

A Message from Dr. Nora Disis, Principal Investigator

Welcome to the summer issue of ITHS Research Connector, a newsletter that highlights some of the ITHS resources and tools available to you. This issue will share examples of researchers who are successfully using our biomedical statistics service, gene and cell therapy lab, and education program.

You will meet Dr. David Suskind, who is drawing biostatistics support for his fecal microbiota transplantation studies. You will also read about the research of Dr. April Stempien-Otero, who used our gene and cell therapy lab to support a clinical trial for patients with end stage heart failure.

We will catch up on the evolution of the Hispanic Community Outreach Program and the Latino Center for Health. Finally, our Researcher Spotlight will introduce you to Dr. Nathan White and his work to develop diagnosis and treatment options related to bleeding in critical illness and injury.

Our Research Navigator can work directly with you to link you to the best resources to meet your specific research needs.

Thank you for your interest in ITHS. We look forward to hearing from you.
