Core Programs in the Graduate School, Career & Internship Center, and the Institute of Translational Health Services are pleased to present Translating Research Into Career Opportunities – for Grad Students, Postdocs, and Researchers in STEM Fields.  This event is free and no registration required.

This event is designed to be an opportunity for current UW Graduate Students, Postdocs, and Researchers to:

  • Explore STEM career paths in non-profit, private industry, and government sectors
  • Learn how to enhance their job marketability
  • Develop connections with STEM professionals who have earned graduate-level degrees

Schedule

Panel Presentation – Making the Transition from Grad School to STEM Careers
5 to 6 p.m. | HUB 334

Hear from a panel of STEM professionals who will share insights and strategies for making that transition from academia into non-profit, private industry, or government sectors.

Networking Reception – Grad Students, Postdocs, Researchers & STEM Professionals
6 to 7 p.m. | HUB 334

The panel presentation will transition into an opportunity to chat with the panelists and additional networking guests who have all earned grad degrees across the STEM fields.  You’ll have a chance to practice your networking skills and build new connections with friendly graduate-degree holders who have found meaningful work and are eager to share more stories and tips.  Plus, enjoy free snacks and beverages!
