Making Repeatable Forms

REDCap Tip

Making Repeatable Forms

When initially designing a REDCap project, you must define the exact number of forms or events for each record. However, there are situations where you may not know up front how many repetitions you would need for any given form. Consider, for example, adverse events forms.

Recently, REDCap introduced the concept of repeatable forms in version 7. Now, you can make any form repeatable on the fly for each individual record.

In the following example, we want to make the “Adverse Event” form in the month 1 event repeatable.

In this next example, we will demonstrate how you would use the repeatable form during data entry.
