March 26 CRES Event Explores Conflict of Interest in Research

Our next Clinical Research Education Series (CRES) will cover the topic, “Exploring Conflict of Interest.”  The event will take place Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Seattle Children’s Research Institute in downtown Seattle.

Doug Diekema, MD, MPH, of Seattle Children’s will broaden your perspective of conflict of interest (COI) during our next CRES seminar and networking event.

Dr. Diekema will specifically focus on addressing:

  • How COI impacts your Principal Investigator
  • How COI impacts you
  • How COI goes beyond industry

This event will be particularly applicable to Research Coordinators who currently work with industry sponsors, although everyone is invited to attend to further their understanding of COI in research. We will also host a collaborative networking discussion about COI after the presentation concludes, with refreshments provided for in-person attendees. Those joining via webcast will be offered a handout to prompt reflections and to facilitate further conversations at your own site.
