Two funding opportunities from the UW Diabetes Research Center

The UW Diabetes Research Center (DRC) is soliciting applications for Pilot & Feasibility Awards, and the Stroum Graduate Fellowship. Through these funding mechanisms, the DRC aims to drive innovative diabetes research projects and support junior investigators.

Pilot and Feasibility Awards

  • Who: junior faculty who have not yet obtained a major peer-reviewed grant, or senior faculty who are new to the field of diabetes
  • Amount: $50,000 for up to two years
  • Letter of Intent deadline: January 4, 2019
  • Application deadline: February 20, 2019
  • Funding begins: July 1, 2019

Stroum Graduate Fellowship

  • Who: UW full-time graduate students pursuing diabetes-related research in a PhD degree-granting program
  • Amount: $20,000 financial support towards graduate student stipend and benefits
  • Letter of Intent deadline: January 4, 2019
  • Application deadline: February 20, 2019
  • Funding begins: July 1, 2019
