The UW Diabetes Research Center (DRC) is soliciting applications for Pilot & Feasibility Awards, and the Stroum Graduate Fellowship. Through these funding mechanisms, the DRC aims to drive innovative diabetes research projects and support junior investigators.
Pilot and Feasibility Awards
- Who: junior faculty who have not yet obtained a major peer-reviewed grant, or senior faculty who are new to the field of diabetes
- Amount: $50,000 for up to two years
- Letter of Intent deadline: January 4, 2019
- Application deadline: February 20, 2019
- Funding begins: July 1, 2019
Stroum Graduate Fellowship
- Who: UW full-time graduate students pursuing diabetes-related research in a PhD degree-granting program
- Amount: $20,000 financial support towards graduate student stipend and benefits
- Letter of Intent deadline: January 4, 2019
- Application deadline: February 20, 2019
- Funding begins: July 1, 2019
